Cookie Policy
Last updated 11 September 2026
This Cookie Policy describes how Niilox API uses cookies and similar technologies on www.niilox.com and related portal pages.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use local storage and similar browser mechanisms for the same purposes described below.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
- Authentication / session — keep you signed in to the developer or ops portal (access tokens or session markers). Without these, the portal cannot function securely.
- Security — CSRF protection, preference for MFA challenge state during sign-in.
Functional (optional)
- Preferences — remember UI choices such as selected tenant or theme when you set them.
Analytics / marketing
We aim to keep marketing trackers off the core product portal. If we add non-essential analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and request consent where required.
3. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure service (or as needed to perform the contract). Non-essential cookies, if introduced, will rely on your consent.
4. Consent required
On first visit we ask you to accept cookies before using the website or developer portal. Until you accept, interactive use of the product is blocked. You may still read these legal pages. Ops super-admins who are already signed in skip this prompt (necessary cookies still apply). Your choice is stored locally in your browser (see key niilox_cookie_consent).
5. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Clearing site data removes your consent choice and you will be asked again. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and API key management in the portal. See also our Privacy Policy.
